Our family recently enjoyed a memorable stay at the Berglodge Ristis, nestled 1,600 metres above sea level in the breathtaking Brunni area. As a travel writer and beer enthusiast from Canterbury, I appreciated the opportunity to unwind in such a beautiful location while enjoying the Swiss mountain air. The lodge proved to be an excellent choice for families, with playgrounds that kept our little ones happily entertained. We even embarked on a treasure hunt hike together, which added an adventurous twist to our stay. The food was quite good, and the chef thoughtfully accommodated two of our children's food allergies-something I genuinely appreciated as a concerned parent. Combined with comfortable rooms and modern facilities, we managed to get plenty of rest despite sharing bathrooms and showers-a minor inconvenience given their excellent quality. While the Berglodge Ristis may not have the over-the-top charm of a luxury resort, it certainly embodies the essence of a family-friendly mountain retreat, and we're eager to return for another adventure.
